they're electric

while in san francisco we decided to check out the aquarium at pier 39. the first floor has some unique fish and information about polluting our waters. interesting but nothing that caught my fancy. then we took the elevator down and turned the corner and were graced with the beautiful presence of bright, electric jellyfish.

the small florescent white jellyfirsh are aurelia.
the large orange jellyfish are pacific sea nettle (chrysaora fuscescens).
