itouch (no more pod) repeat

my 2004 original photo ipod died about a month ago. it had been slowly dyeing, turning off here and there, running out of battery very quickly, and then finally one day the screen of death appeared. a triangular warning sign next to an icon of an ipod with a frowny face in its screen. translation = i am dead. so for my birthday i was lucky enough to split the cost of the 32GB itouch with my boyfriend (such a sweetheart). and now i am in love and addicted (BAD). i recommend it if you are weary (or cheap like me) about paying the monthly cost for the iphone.

so now my ipod repeats will be my itouch repeats. this time around its Crystal Castles (named after She-Ra's fortress). electro pop beats with lots of deet deet deets. a couple songs reference music from super mario brothers while others are darker with echoing muffled lyrics.

an all time favorite of mine and my go to band when i need something to get me going, make me smile. their happy, uppity beats combined with airy, echoing vocals - in french and english - and a symphony of instruments, including violins and trumpets, are perfect company for a long sunny summer walk.
