yesterday was a most amazing day, a treat sent from above. unfortunately i had to work. so on my lunch break i decided to spend the entire hour walking through the neighborhood while listening to atlas sound.

a perfect indian summer day, with warm temps, sunny skies, and autumnal colors.

these pictures were taken while hiking through muir woods in california. as we walked down the path i kept looking up and up, high into the sky, trying to see the tops of the trees. the more i looked upward, the more vertigo i got. the trees soared upward, creating a lovely canopy. i tried to capture what i saw, but it was impossible to get it all in (must get wide wide wide angle lens). more to come!

countryside

i love the city, the life of an urbanite, running from train to train beneath sky high buildings. but i also love the countryside and all its quietness. while on location for a JHG photo shoot i re-entered the world of rustic-ness and wide open spaces. here are a few shots i captured while waiting for furniture to get in place.
